I recently discovered Skype. With Skype you can enjoy free calls to anywhere in the world, from computer to computer. I just got "off the phone" with my sister in Idaho (I'm in Colorado). Great sound quality, though you really need to use headphones, on both computers. This keeps your computer mike from hearing your speakers and causing an echo.

I will be travelling this summer and plan to continue to support my clients throughout, even though I will be in France part of the time, where my cell phone will be prohibitively expensive, by using this service.
